Equity is more than checked boxes.

Corporate conversations acknowledge the value of increasing equity yet operational actions are still stalled.  We're dedicating two Briefings in Black History Month to discuss the progress and promise of embedded DE&I in the health and media industries. Our third and final Briefing will explore our internal philosophy of the Diversity OS, sharing tentpole practices for organizations across industry to adopt now for a more equitable future.

2/10, 12:00 - 12:45 PM EST | Future of Health Equity
Equity in healthcare and patient outcomes continues to be a pressing and timely topic, particularly since the beginning of a pandemic that disproportionately affected communities of color. Despite the increased awareness and corporate commitments to address these challenges, the gap continues to widen without a clear path forward. We’ll explore the barriers, role of healthcare and wellness brands in driving inclusion and equity and better outcomes. Featured guests in the briefing are Antonio Melo, VP and Founder of Humana's Digital Experience Center & DE&I Leader, and Rene Syler, Former Host of CBS Early Show and Breast Cancer Advocate.

2/17, 12:00 - 12:45 PM EST | Future of Inclusive Content
For years, diversity in mainstream programming has been solely about minimal visual representation. While audiences are demanding inclusion from the stories that are told to who is telling them, very few studios and content producers are implementing the data-driven systems and practices necessary to consistently and effectually achieve this. This session will explore the current landscape and what’s required to drive change across the industry. Featured guests in this briefing include Kamala Avila-Salmon, Head of Inclusive Content at Lionsgate, CJ Hunt, Field Producer at The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.

2/22, 12:00 - 12:45 PM EST | Building a Diversity OS
Building upon the prior two briefings, the goal of the final one will be to illuminate the importance of driving DE&I efforts from the inside-out, no matter what industry or area you’re in. We’ll explore what embedding DE&I into the organizational eco-system means and how to practically achieve it. We’ll discuss sparks & honey's 4Ps framework that focuses on embedding DE&I within an organization's People, Products, Practices and Partnerships. Kahlil Greene, Gen Z Inclusion Expert joins the conversation as our featured guest.
